Matthew Baker is a member of the firm’s Communications Practice Group. Matthew represents private sector clients in the technology and communications industries on legal and regulatory issues before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
While in law school, Matthew focused on technology and communications issues and graduated from the law school’s Law and Technology Institute. Matthew served as managing editor of the Catholic University Law Review.
He was a Squire Patton Boggs Foundation Fellow, and in that capacity he held a legal clerkship with a public interest think-tank where he focused on consumer protection, broadband privacy, and the scope of Fourth Amendment protections related to stored digital information. Additionally, he spent a semester as a law clerk at the Federal Trade Commission, Office of International Affairs.
Prior to attending law school, Matthew worked for a private consulting firm that advised the US federal government on issues related to cybersecurity and border security.
