Matthew Lyons is a New York partner in the firm’s Real Estate Finance & Investment Group, specializing in structured finance. His practice involves all aspects of the securitization of loans and securities backed by commercial real estate, with a primary focus on commercial mortgage-backed securitizations, resecuritizations, commercial real estate collateralized loan obligation transactions, net-lease securitizations and, most recently, single family rental securitizations.
Matt regularly represents the main participants in public and private commercial real estate-related financing transactions, including sponsors, issuers, underwriters, collateral managers, loan sellers and rating agencies.
In addition, Matt routinely advises clients in connection with other types of secured financings, including those structured as repurchase transactions and warehouse lending lines.
He also represents lenders and investors in the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial real estate-related assets, including whole loans, subordinate mortgage loan interests, participation interests, mezzanine loans and bank loans.
