
Matt Crawford is an Associate practicing in the firm’s Private Client Services Group. He concentrates his practice in residential and commercial real estate, in both Connecticut and New York. Mr. Crawford advises on the structuring of, and negotiates from contract to closing, various sale, purchase, financing and leasing transactions.
Additionally, he is an admitted Florida attorney and is also experienced in general estate planning, real estate taxation and other matters. Mr. Crawford has been with the firm since 2013.
Mr. Crawford is from Greenwich and is currently the Advocate and Chancellor of the Greenwich Knights of Columbus – Orinoco Council #39. He served for nearly four years as an elected member from Districts 1 and 4 of Greenwich’s Representative Town Meeting, and was an appointed delegate to the Legislative and Rules and Planning and Zoning RTM committees.
He is active in Fairfield County and is very familiar with municipal departments and government functions of Greenwich and other nearby towns. Mr. Crawford has also served as the Treasurer of four candidate election committees.
Mr. Crawford was previously an assistant clerk and legal intern with the Greenwich Probate Court from 2006 to 2011. He is the co-author of an article that was published in the Hofstra Journal of Labor and Employment Law, which investigated the Department of Labor’s program of paying persons with disabilities less than the minimum wage.
