Matthew H. Kamens concentrates his practice in trusts, estate, and business planning matters, as well as complex estate administration. Matthew has significant knowledge of life insurance and its structuring in estate planning contexts, and also serves as a trustee of a number of significant trusts holding liquid and nonliquid assets and real estate.
Matthew is a member of the board of trustees of the Agnes Irwin School. He was a member of the board of directors of the Jones Group, Inc. prior to its sale in 2014.
During his career, he has served as co-chairman of the board of trustees of the National Museum of American Jewish History, as a vice president and member of the board of directors and executive committee of the Federation Endowments Corporation, and as a member of the board of directors and board of trustees of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
Matthew earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Franklin and Marshall College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and his law degree, with honors, from Columbia University School of Law.
