
Matthew Whited is a Corporate & Securities associate in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. He focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, securities offerings and corporate governance matters. Matt has represented public and privately-held companies in a variety of industries.
Matt received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2014. He received a B.A. in economics from the University of Southern California in 2011 and has also studied at the London School of Economics. While in law school, Matt worked as a legal intern in the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of the Assistant General Counsel for International Affairs.
In 2015, Matt completed a six-month secondment at the Dow Chemical Company where he advised on complex transactions related to joint ventures, outsourcing and information technology and commercial contracts.
