Matthew Wirthlin assists clients with virtually all areas of the real estate industry, with special emphasis in commercial development and land use. He represents a wide range of commercial clients in negotiating and closing multi-million dollar large-scale real estate transactions, in due diligence, purchasing, selling, leasing, and financing.
In his business law practice, Matt advises real estate clients in structure and organization and drafting and negotiating corporate transaction documents. He takes great pride in shepherding and partnering with his clients to get deals done.
Matt has over 18 years in providing exceptional service in assisting his clients meeting their real estate objectives. He served as a member and past chair of the Salt Lake City Planning Commission for almost 10 years.
He currently serves as an Appeals Hearing Officer for Salt Lake City. Because of his vast experience in public service in the area of land use, Matt has been able to guide many clients through the difficult entitlement process in many jurisdictions throughout the West.
Matt works with clients on a range of residential and commercial real estate projects, including multi-family residential, mixed use office and retail, shopping centers and malls, hotels, office buildings, condominiums, and resort development. He also represents clients with land use, zoning, boundary, and easement issues.
