Maureen Sullivan Taylor was licensed to practice law in 1982. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the Northern Illinois University Law School. As a law student, she interned at the United States’ Attorneys’ Office. She was the recipient of the outstanding achievement award in matrimonial law. Maureen also served on the school’s law review.
Her area of practice is concentrated on divorce, adoption, paternity, prenuptial agreements, post divorce modifications, collaborative law, property division, child custody and visitatioin and spousal support.
Maureen is a active member of the community. She has volunteered time with organizations like: the YWCA of DuPage County, Family Shelter Service, Inc., Lilac Tree resources for divorcing women, and L.E.A.V.E.S. Divorce Education.
Maureen is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Northern District of Illinois Federal Court. She was chosen as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers of 2008 by the American Trial Lawyers Association.
As the founder of the firm, Ms Taylor is experienced as a member of the international association of collaborative professionals. She is also a fellow of the collaborative law institute of Illinois.
She is a regular speaker at various seminars. She is also a contributor of several articles on family law and matters relating to divorce.
