Max S. Meckstroth is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Antitrust Practices. Max has experience assisting clients in a range of complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, antitrust litigation, products liability actions, and professional negligence cases.
Max also has experience in the areas of insolvency, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights. He has represented secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcies, commercial and residential foreclosure actions, as well as other related debt collection proceedings.
Education :
Max earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and graduated magna cum laude. He also served as a note and comment editor for the Minnesota Law Review (J.D., 2015), and was an active member in the Law School’s Litigation and Trial Advocacy Group, where he served as a Vice President.
Max also summered with Foley and clerked in the legal department at UnitedHealth Group’s corporate headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota. He graduated, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, with a degree in legal studies (B.A. 2012).
Admissions : Max is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.
