
McKenna L. Steere focuses her practice on trademark and copyright law. While attending law school, Ms. Steere was an intellectual property extern in the San Francisco, California office of an international law firm where she drafted and filed Uniform Domain Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) complaints, prepared office action responses, and researched trademark and copyright issues.
Ms. Steere was also an intellectual property extern for a trademark and copyright law firm based in San Francisco, California where she drafted trademark registration documents including office action responses and petitions to cancel.
As a Research Fellow under Professor J. Thomas McCarthy, Ms. Steere researched relevant case law and literature for trademark and right of publicity treatises: McCarthy on Trademarks and Unfair Competition and The Rights of Publicity and Privacy.
She was an appellate advocacy competition team member in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition where she won first place in the Western Regional Division and was a National finalist. Ms. Steere was a Staff Member of the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin and President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Association.
Ms. Steere was a legal intern for the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence in San Francisco, California where she reviewed and analyzed local, state, and federal firearm laws.
