Meagan T. Bachman is a Senior Counsel at the law firm Squire Patton Boggs and practices from its Washington DC office. She focuses on complicated commercial issues such as contract disputes, arbitration, and litigation concerning significant construction and infrastructure projects.
She has high domestic and international arbitration knowledge and rich experience in other forms of alternative dispute resolution. She frequently represents clients in employment, commercial, and construction matters in mediations and arbitrations following the rules of American Arbitration Association, International Chamber of Commerce, International Commercial Court, JAMS, and International Centre for Dispute Resolution.
She has extensively litigated actions at both the trial and appellate levels and represented clients in numerous federal matters including Constitutional challenges to federal agency rule-makings and others. He is an expert at jurisdictional requirements, applicable federal procedural rules, and other available remedies and works closely with her clients to craft effective litigation strategies.
Meagan Bachman serves as the member of the board at HomeBase, the Center for Common Concerns based in San Francisco, California since 2009.
She obtained her Bachelor’s in Arts with honors in English from the Davidson College and her Juris Doctorate while winning the Order of the Coif from the George Washington University Law School in 1997 and 2002 respectively.
She obtained the license to practice law in Virginia and District of Columbia in 2002 and 2004 along with the permission to appear before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the District Court of Columbia, the Eastern District Court of Virginia, and the Virginia Supreme Court.
She started her legal career as an Associate with the law firm Squire Patton Boggs in 2002 and went on to become its partner in the year 2012 followed by being its Senior Counsel in 2014.
Meagan T. Bachman has received recognition for her practice and won Ogden W. Fields Graduate Award for the Highest Overall Proficiency in Labor Law in 2002 as well as Patton Boggs LLP Pro Bono Award Honorable Mention in 2003.
She co-authored an International Arbitration Review on the Chapter on Arbitration in Qatar in 2013, and an article for the Business Leasing and Finance News. She also navigated construction disputes in the Middle East in 2010.
