Megan E. Canning is a member of the firm’s Transactions Client Service Group. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance. As such, Ms. Canning advises public and private companies in issuance of public and private equity and debt securities, as well as mergers, asset purchases and sales, joint ventures and divestitures.
She first joined Bryan Cave as a 2015 summer associate, where she assisted with a variety of matters related to corporate mergers, the False Claims Act, and state law fiduciary duties. Ms. Canning earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, where she was the Lead Articles Editor for the Georgia State University Law Review.
During law school, she served as Judicial Extern to the Honorable Harold Melton in the Supreme Court of Georgia, as well as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Wendy Hagenau for the United States Bankruptcy Court. Ms. Canning was also a pupil in the Logan E. Bleckley Inn of Court.
