Megan M. Egli’s practice focuses on complex product liability litigation in state and federal courts around the United States. Megan brings valuable trial experience representing manufacturers of medical devices, pharmaceuticals and tobacco products to her practice.
She has represented clients in all stages of litigation from the inception of cases through trial, handling all aspects of discovery, motion practice and pretrial preparations. She regularly takes and defends depositions, argues key motions, identifies expert witnesses and formulates case-specific strategy.
She has also attended numerous trials across the country and has consistently achieved favorable results.
Megan has devoted significant time to managing large dockets of cases and coordinating strategy to bring those cases to the earliest possible resolution through a variety of mechanisms including mediation, motion practice and early identification of case-dispositive issues.
At trials, Megan brings valuable experience from years of developing case themes and strategy; assisting in the preparations of opening statements, trial outlines and closing arguments; and preparing witnesses to stand up in the face of aggressive cross-examinations.
Whether it is a high profile witness cross-examination or a most minor point in a deposition designation, Megan attends to all the details because she finds joy in bringing curiosity, creativity and proactive defense tactics to her clients.
She has been passionate about pro bono work since joining the firm, representing children and families in Jackson County Family Court continuously over the years. She is currently prosecuting a pro bono FOIA action against the DOJ seeking the release of certain documents in control of the federal government.
