Megan Shannon is an attorney in the firm’s insurance recovery group. She focuses on insurance recovery on behalf of the policy holder. She also assists with representation of a large public transportation company and a satellite television company.
Ms. Shannon’s pro bono experience includes representing low income families in name changes and public records requests under the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law. She has also represented a community garden in a zoning dispute.
Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Ms. Shannon was an associate at a firm in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where she focused on medical malpractice defense. She defended numerous physicians and practice groups in lawsuits involving neurosurgery, oncology, radiology, and other medical specialties.
Ms. Shannon received her J.D. from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law in 2014. While in law school, she provided legal services to low-income clients through Villanova’s Civil Justice Clinic and served as a managing editor on the Jeffrey Moorad Sports Law Journal.
She also completed internships with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the New Hampshire Public Defender as a law student, giving her hands-on experience in civil and criminal law.
