Ms. Meghan Quinlivan joined Burg Simpson in October 2007 after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Carol E. Higbee, Superior Court of New Jersey. Ms. Quinlivan focuses her practice primarily in the areas of complex, pharmaceutical and medical device mass tort, and class action litigation including products liability and consumer protection.
Additionally, Ms. Quinlivan represents or has represented those injured by Testosterone Replacement Therapy, power morcellators including the Gynecare Morcellex device, Pradaxa, Actos, Gadolinium Based Contrast Agents, YAZ/Yasmin/Ocella birth control pills, DePuy ASR and Pinnacle artificial hips, Wright Medical artificial hips, Biomet artificial hips, as well as other drugs and medical devices.
Ms. Quinlivan has significant experience litigating pharmaceutical and medical device cases and coordinating Burg Simpson’s settlement administration process to see thousands of individual mass tort cases through the settlement process.
Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Quinlivan served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Carol E. Higbee. At the time of this clerkship, Judge Higbee was Presiding Judge for Atlantic County Vicinage, and served as one of three mass tort judges in New Jersey overseeing cases involving claims against the manufacturers of Vioxx, Accutane, Bextra and Celebrex pharmaceutical products.
During law school, Ms. Quinlivan worked as a law clerk for the United States Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division, assisting with investigations and prosecutions of violations of federal environmental statutes and regulations.
