Melissa D. Conroy is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices and Technology Industry Team.
Previously, Ms. Conroy was a summer associate with Foley. Prior to that, she was a clinical law student in the Family Court Clinic at the University of Wisconsin Law School Economic Justice Institute, where she assisted unrepresented and indigent family law litigants with navigating the legal system; counseled clients on legal options and case strategy; negotiated marital settlement agreements with opposing counsel; and drafted internal research memos, letters to clients and opposing counsel, motions, and temporary orders.
Education :
Ms. Conroy earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2014), where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and was editor-in-chief of the Wisconsin Law Review.
While in law school, she was honored with the Gwynette E. Smalley Law Review Prize, the Dean’s Academic Achievement Award, and the Stewart Macaulay Award for Excellence and Leadership in Contract Law. Ms. Conroy received her bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Notre Dame (B.A., cum laude, 2009).
