Melissa Marie Barry is an experienced criminal defense attorney working with Rideout Law P.L.L.C. and based in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She also handles cases related to Juvenile law.
She originally from a small town in Northeastern Ohio. After her junior year in high school, she moved to Southern Nevada and completed her graduation from Foothills High School. She went on to attend the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2005.
Melissa returned to her home town in Northeastern Ohio to take care of her grandfather and also to study law. She joined the University of Akron School of Law and also worked as a teacher’s aide doing research and comparing felony murder statutes in various states.
She participated in a clinical program and represented clients charged with misdemeanor offenses in Summit County through the Legal Defender’s Office. Later she started working as an intern and continued to represent misdemeanor clients.
She obtained her Juris Doctorate in the year 2007. She stayed in Ohio to spend time with her family for several months before returning to Nevada to take the bar exam. She passed the Nevada bar exam in July 2008 in the first attempt and obtained admission to practice in Nevada in November 2008.
Melissa M. Barry started her legal career in 2008 as a Deputy City Attorney at the City of Las Vegas. She cleared the bar exam and earned the license to practice law in the state of Arizona in 2010. In the same year, she began working as a Deputy County Attorney at the Mohave County Attorney’s Office and served there till 2015.
She joined her current law firm in the year 2015 and continues to serve at its office in Lake Havasu City. Her clients find her to be down to earth and open to answering their queries. She communicates clearly and explains all the possibilities of the case up front.
She is compassionate and loves to give back to the community. She serves as a volunteer for a program named Teen Law School, which educates teens on such areas of laws that they are most likely to encounter.
Melissa Barry is also involved in the Juvenile Drug Court program and helps kids in dealing with and overcoming addiction. She serves as a Vice Chairperson of the Citizens Advisory Board.
