Meredith K. Boram is an associate in Venable’s Baltimore office, where she is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. She has a broad range of experience in complex litigation matters, including contract disputes, energy and utility regulation, employment law, products liability actions, and other commercial matters.
Her experience includes conducting in-depth legal research and analysis, drafting motions and briefs, writing and responding to discovery requests, and preparing witnesses for deposition and trial.
She is also experienced at managing discovery of electronically stored information (ESI) from document identification and retrieval through production and analysis of privilege.
Meredith graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
During law school, she served as comments editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review and interned for the Honorable Michele D. Hotten on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
Meredith also worked as a Rule 16 attorney with the University of Baltimore Civil Advocacy Clinic, assisting low-income Baltimore City residents in a variety of civil matters. In this role, she successfully represented an individual with a disability in a state administrative hearing, winning full restoration of her client’s paratransit service benefit.
Experience : Member of a team that represented AltaGas Ltd. in their contested application to obtain regulatory approval in Maryland and the District of Columbia for its $9 billion acquisition of WGL and Washington Gas Light Company. Obtained approval of the transaction in both jurisdictions, creating a $17 billion North American energy company..
