
Michael A. Goode focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense litigation. He has successfully represented and advised a wide range of clients from large, self-insured retention employers to employers insured through carriers throughout all of North Carolina.
Michael has represented clients in the retail, manufacturing, transportation, and construction industries. He has also represented large counties, municipalities, and other governmental entities.
Michael has handled cases at all levels before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. He handles claims from inception to resolution including all aspects of negotiation as well as litigation, mediation, hearings, and depositions.
He also advises clients on general risk management and effective strategies to reduce overall liability exposure. While earning his J.D., Michael served as the chief justice of his law school’s honor court as well as the team leader for the student recruitment team.
He was also on one of the school’s moot court teams and participated in national moot court competitions.
