Michael Bodik was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1993 and has more than 20 years of experience in the area of workers’ compensation law. Michael joined Steinger, Iscoe & Greene in 2006.
He is currently the managing director of the Workers’ Compensation Department of the law firm of Steinger, Iscoe & Greene, where he exclusively represents injured workers.
Prior to joining Steinger, Iscoe & Greene, Michael was an equity partner and the head of the Workers’ Compensation Department of the law firm of Wagner, Johnson, McAfee and Bodik, P.A., where he practiced from 1993 through 2000.
Additionally, he founded and was the head of the Workers’ Compensation Division of the law office of Lawrence M. Burrell Jr., P.A., from 2000 to 2002.
He also was the senior associate attorney at both the law firm of Varner and Thorne, P.A., and the West Palm Beach office of Miller, Kagan, Rodriguez & Silver, P.A. Additionally, he has more than 10 years of experience in Social Security Disability law.
Michael has secured aid and attendant care of up to twenty-hours/seven days a week and long-term care facilities for clients. He also has successfully represented the dependent spouses and family members of workers who have died on the job.
Michael represents the injured both on specific accidents, as well as on repetitive microtrauma, exposure, sick building matters, and was selected by a judge’s assistant to represent her on a sick building matter. Additionally, he has represented multiple paralegals and others within the field on workers’ compensation matters.
Prior to attending law school, Michael’s background was in business, including obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New York in business administration, with split concentration in finance and management. He combines his financial background and knowledge with his negotiating skills to secure significant value settlements for his clients.
In addition to being licensed to practice in Florida state courts, Michael has been licensed to practice in the United States Federal District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida since 1994.
His education includes receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1990, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida in 1993. Michael was named to the Dean’s List of distinguished students at both the University of New York and the University of Florida.
