Michael Ferri concentrates his practices in the area of construction law. Mr. Ferri assists developers in major metropolitan areas by preparing and negotiating architect and design consultant agreements, construction management agreements, license and easement agreements, trade contracts/subcontracts and other construction agreements.
Mr. Ferri’s experience includes preparing form-construction documents for publically traded companies, and resolving issues and disputes involving access to adjacent properties and property damage. Mr. Ferri also assists contractors with administrative appeals, hearings, and trials involving public contracts regarding delays, defective work, change orders, warranty claims, default and termination, as well as surety and insurance issues.
Mr. Ferri is a 2016 graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, where he was a member of St. John’s Law Review, and a graduate of Manhattan College School of Engineering, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree studying engineering.
Prior to practicing law Mr. Ferri practiced structural engineering as a professional engineer while employed by WSP (formerly Parsons Brinckerhoff). During his nine years with WSP, Mr. Ferri performed structural design and construction oversight services for public and private clients on various iconic bridges and infrastructure in and around New York City.
At Duane Morris, Mr. Ferri provides assistance pro bono to veterans and their families with discharge upgrades through Duane Morris’ alliance with the Urban Justice Center Veteran’s Advocacy Project.
