  • Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (post-bankruptcy estate) in the sale of its minority interest in D. E. Shaw & Co. to Hillspire, LLC (family office of Eric Schmidt);
  • Credit Suisse Group AG in connection with the sale of its Customized Fund Investment Group to Grosvenor Capital Management, L.P.;
  • Pátria Investimentos, an alternative asset management and corporate-advisory firm based in Brazil, in its sale of a 40 percent interest to Blackstone Group LP;
  • Pacific Century Group in its acquisition of the third-party asset management business of American International Group, Inc.;
  • BlackRock, Inc. in its merger with the investment management business of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc.;
  • the equity owners of International Fund Services (N.A.), LLC in the sale of a controlling equity interest to State Street Bank and Trust Company.

Mr. Dorum’s practice also involves the structuring and documentation of complex equity arrangements and financing transactions for asset manager investment vehicles in the form of limited liability companies and limited partnerships.
