Michael Hollander is an associate in the Data, Privacy and Security practice group at King & Spalding. Michael counsels clients on preparing for, responding to, and recovering from data breaches and other cyber-based attacks on critical systems.
He focuses on assessing physical, technical, and administrative safeguards clients have adopted for the protection of their most sensitive data, as well as developing and implementing information security programs and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Michael is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and was awarded this information technology security audit certification by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium. He is also a Certified Ethical Hacker, which is a professional certification provided by the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants. Michael is certified by the Health Information Trust Alliance as a Certified CSF Practitioner.
HITRUST is an organization that provides an information security framework and training for developing and maintaining effective security programs for healthcare and life sciences companies that comply with privacy and security laws, regulations, and standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, HITECH, PCI-DSS, JCAHO, CMS, NIST, ISO, and various other federal, state, and business requirements.
Previously, Michael was an associate in the Healthcare and Life Sciences practice group at a nationally recognized law firm where he focused on data privacy and security.
