Michael Kellermann is an associate on Alston & Bird’s Energy Team. He focuses his practice on energy law, including electricity regulation by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the state regulation of electric utilities, and court proceedings involving energy.
He has assisted clients in obtaining market-based rate authority for the sale of electricity and prepared various filings under Section 205 of the Federal Power Act (FPA).
Before joining Alston & Bird, Michael served as a law clerk to the Hon. Carmen A. Cintron, Hon. H. Peter Young, and Hon. Steven A. Glazer in FERC’s Office of Administrative Law Judges.
Michael received his J.D. from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park. In addition, Michael clerked for the Hon. H. Patrick Stringer, Jr. on the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland.
