Michael J. Morehead is a part of the firm’s global insurance department. Prior to joining the firm, Michael clerked for U.S. District Judge Micaela Alvarez in the Southern District of Texas.
He drafted opinions, orders, bench memoranda, and discovery schedules, and more generally managed one-half of Judge Alvarez’s insurance-heavy civil docket. Michael earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Biola University and studied abroad at Oxford University.
He then earned his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law where he served as an articles editor and editorial board member of the Texas Review of Law & Politics. He was also a national symposium editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy.
