Michael P. Pompeo is the guy you call when dealing with a financially distressed company. He has over 20 years of experience in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and related litigation. Mike is vice-chair of the firm’s Corporate Restructuring Practice Group.
Mike advises clients, including debtors, trustees, receivers, committees, borrowers, lenders, creditors, investors, sellers, purchasers and others in all stages of complex restructuring transactions, such as in-court and out-of-court reorganizations, debt restructurings, acquisitions and divestitures.
Mike has advised troubled companies and their boards when nearing the “zone of insolvency.” He represents clients from a broad range of industries including manufacturing, financial services, real estate, senior living care and retail.
He also regularly represents insurers in mass tort Chapter 11 cases involving asbestos, environmental, product liability and special liability claims. Mike currently serves as the state court receiver in a multimillion-dollar securities fraud Ponzi scheme.
