Mr.Michael Q. Walshe Jr. focuses his litigation practice on intellectual property, insurance defense, procurement and public bid disputes, bankruptcy, securities and general commercial litigation. He is Co-Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, Chair of the firm’s Recruiting Committee and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Mr. Walshe joined Stone Pigman in 1995.

Professional and Civic Activities:
Mr. Walshe is actively involved in the New Orleans Community. He is a former trustee at the Academy of the Sacred Heart where he chaired the Legal and Insurance Committee for nine years. He formerly served as a member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Greater New Orleans Educational Television Foundation, which oversees the operations of New Orleans’ public television station WYES.
Mr. Walshe has also served on the Louisiana Children’s Museum Early Learning Village Steering Committee and on the Museum’s Board of Directors where he served as Vice-President and Treasurer.
He is a graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and the Metropolitan Area Committee Leadership Forum. Mr. Walshe has also been involved with the Carrollton Boosters organization, serving as league coordinator and coach for little league baseball.
Mr. Walshe is Chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and a member of that organization’s Projects and Objectives Committee. He is also a member of the American and Louisiana State Bar Associations.
