Michael A. Scerbo practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on complex patent litigation. He has experience in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation, pleadings, and claim construction, through discovery, motion practice, and trial.
Michael also has experience in IP due diligence investigations and opinion work associated with clients’ potential licenses and acquisitions. Michael received the 2016 Burton Award for Legal Achievement for his article entitled, “Is PTAB ‘death squad’ just a myth?”
While in law school, Michael was named a Franklin Pierce IP Scholar and worked as a student attorney in the Intellectual Property & Transaction Clinic. As an undergraduate, he worked in Dr. James Millonig’s laboratory at Rutgers University, where he researched neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and neural tube defects.
