Michael S. Hanchett is an attorney at Robinson & Henry specializing in tax debt resolution, business transactional, and estate planning matters. Mike completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and went on to graduate from the Seton Hall University School of Law in 2006.
Mike was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2007 and began his legal career working for a mid-size Denver based law firm specializing in construction defect litigation. As an associate attorney, Mike represented Fortune 500 companies, general contractors, developers, and insurers dealing with complex legal issues.
In 2008, Mike had the opportunity to serve as the Vice President of Operations for a startup on-line sales and consulting company. Within two years, this business grew from 25 employees to over 100 employees. It developed into a multi-million-dollar operation, which ultimately merged with a larger company.
This experience gave Mike a better understanding and appreciation for mergers and acquisitions and tax related matters. In 2009, Mike joined one of the nation’s largest tax debt resolution and business restructuring firms. He successfully negotiated hundreds of resolutions on behalf of his clients with the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities.
His clients included individuals, sole proprietors, partnerships, limited liability companies, and large corporations. Having recently joined Robinson & Henry, Mike brings an array of experience working with individuals and business owners that are dealing with stressful and exciting challenges.
He is expanding his area of practice into estate planning to help his clients proactively create legal instruments that will give them control over their assets and peace of mind.
