Michael Relihan grew up in Apollo Beach, Florida, where he attended East Bay Senior High School. Following graduation, Mr. Relihan remained in Tampa, Florida, and attended the University of South Florida.
Mr. Relihan was active in Student Government, New Student Orientation and Greek Leadership. Mr. Relihan graduated from USF with a degree in International Studies.
Mr. Relihan was fortunate to remain in the Tampa Bay Area for his legal studies, attending Stetson University College of Law. As a student, Mr. Relihan worked in Stetson’s Office of Alumni Relations and interned with the St. Petersburg City Attorney’s Office.
While an intern, Mr. Relihan was selected to research and advise on matters relating to Florida Sunshine Law’s application to modern technology, regulatory matters affecting the municipal storm sewer system, and eminent domain acquisitions.
Mr. Relihan has worked for Partners Bradley S. Bell and Douglas J. Collins since 2009, as both a law clerk and later as an attorney. As a law clerk, Mr. Relihan conducted extensive research on construction lien foreclosure defense, insurance defense and premises liability issues, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, and various other commercial litigation matters.
Since 2009, Mr. Relihan frequently attended trials, hearings and depositions with the Partners of BLG and obtained expansive knowledge of civil litigation before ever receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 2014. He prides himself on analyzing a case, finding solutions, and obtaining favorable and efficient solutions for his clients.
