Michael T. Sheridan

Michael Sheridan’s practice concentrates on creditor rights and foreclosures, complex commercial litigation, real estate law, municipal representation, and general civil matters.  Michael was born in Wisconsin and has lived in Kansas, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, finally settling in Central Florida, where he has practiced law since 1997.

Michael obtained his undergraduate degree in liberal arts from Barry University in Miami and his J.D. degree in 1996 from Nova Southeastern University, where he served as Editor on the Nova Law Review and published the only student case note in 1996.

Michael received numerous honors and distinctions in law school, including winning the 1996 Florida Attorney’s Title Real Estate Law Writing Competition and receiving the American Jurisprudence Award for his civil rights litigation article discussing equal protection law.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Michael was a real estate appraiser in South Florida, where he appraised property being acquired by the Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) for road widening.

In law school, Michael worked as Senior Clerk in the FDOT’s Eminent Domain Section in Fort Lauderdale on numerous projects including I-595, I-95, U.S. Hwy. 1, Flamingo Road, Griffin Road, Okeechobee Boulevard, and others.

Michael’s first position in Orlando included landowner representation in eminent domain actions, in addition to other commercial litigation and municipal representation matters.  Michael has practiced in firms in Orlando and Philadelphia since 1997.

In addition to being a member of the Florida Bar, Michael is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of PA, the U.S. District & Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of FL, the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York.
