Michael Tse splits his practice between patent licensing and patent prosecution. Mr. Tse’s patent licensing practice focuses on analysis and evaluation of patent assets for licensing, divestures, acquisitions, and litigation.
Mr. Tse has participated in patent licensing negotiations involving both small portfolios of a few patents to large portfolios of thousands of patents. Mr. Tse’s patent licensing practice has also involved non-practicing entities.
Mr. Tse’s patent prosecution and counseling practice spans a wide variety of technology areas including computer architectures, memory technologies, semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor packaging, electronic design automation tools, networking systems, storage hardware, telecommunications systems and devices, mobile technologies, programmable logic, hardware and software for electronics and computers, consumer electronics, image processing, computer and web security, satellite positioning systems, power systems, medical devices and diagnostic systems, business methods, and payment systems.
Mr. Tse has also handled reexaminations, inter partes reviews, opinions of counsel, and IP due diligence.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Tse has over ten years of industry experience as a design engineer designing a variety of integrated circuit devices including flash memories, server microprocessors, optical networking components, and global positioning systems.
