Michael Van Riper concentrates on financial services litigation, representing the interests of an increasingly complex financial services sector on a wide range of matters. Before joining the firm, Michael served as a law clerk to Judge Raymond J. Dearie of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Before that, he was an associate attorney for a New York City criminal defense and investigations firm, and for a Chicago-based litigation firm.
Michael also served in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Iraq War, deploying with the Third Infantry Division from 2009-2010. He was also stationed in Korea and has earned a number of military honors, including three Army Commendation Medals, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Expert Infantryman Badge.
