Michael W. Regnier

Defending health care professionals from malpractice suits has been the focus of Michael Regnier’s legal career. For over 20 years he has represented medical doctors, chiropractors, dentists and advanced practice professionals in cases arising from a variety of treatment settings. He also has represented hospitals, nursing homes and medical practices in litigation, and advised them on risk management and peer review issues.

In addition to medical malpractice, Mr. Regnier has handled cases involving commercial disputes, general and intentional tort claims, and insurance coverage disputes. Though his practice focuses primarily on litigation, he also enjoys advising and representing authors and other creatives regarding their publishing rights and agreements.

Mr. Regnier graduated magna cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law, where he was a member of law review and the Order of the Coif. He received his B.A. from Hope College where he majored in business administration, minored in economics, and played football. Mr. Regnier, a member of Eastman & Smith, is licensed in both Ohio and Michigan.
