Michael Weisshar is an associate in the Employee Benefits Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago office. Mr. Weisshar aids clients with designing and administering employee benefit and executive compensation arrangements, including qualified retirement plans, non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans and severance agreements.
Mr. Weisshar also represents clients in regards to correcting plan document and operational errors under the IRS’s Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System. Additionally, Mr. Weisshar counsels institutional investors, including Fortune 500 companies, in regards to investing in various private equity, hedge, real estate and fixed funds.
While attending Pepperdine Law School, Mr. Weisshar served as a staff member for the Pepperdine Law Review and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his work in Employment Discrimination Law.
