Michelle Levin is a highly accomplished trial lawyer and trusted adviser with substantial experience representing clients in a wide variety of civil and white collar criminal matters. Her practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and internal investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and securities and complex civil proceedings. She is also the Deputy Managing Partner of the New York Office.
In her last five trials, Michelle defended individuals in a breadth of industries, including financial services, pharmaceutical, and retail. One of her recent trials resulted in a complete acquittal of all charges. Michelle’s clients appreciate her ability to successfully and strategically guide them through the investigation, indictment, pretrial, trial, and appeal phases of each case, bringing sound judgment and creativity to bear at each stage.
Michelle represents companies and individuals in significant matters brought by criminal and regulatory agencies, including the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Department of Financial Services, and the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority and Serious Fraud Office.
Her white collar matters have involved allegations of securities fraud, accounting fraud, insider trading, antitrust enforcement, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, improper trading practices, healthcare fraud, visa fraud, obstruction, and major fraud against the United States. Many of these cases resulted in no charges being filed.
In civil matters, Michelle represents companies and individuals in federal and state courts across the country. She has litigated a wide range of commercial cases, including securities and other class action litigation, and complex contract disputes.
