Mike Rodgers is a real estate attorney and creative solution provider for commercial, residential, mixed use and resort developments. In over two decades of practicing commercial real estate and development law, Mike has gained significant experience in almost every asset class and has provided clients with a wide array of legal services related to each.
More broadly, he counsels clients who develop, invest, lease, lend and use real estate assets in urban core, suburban and exurban locations. Mike also advises on legal issues unique to interstate land sales, home builder programs and the promotion and sale of residential properties to consumers.
Mike’s breadth of experience has involved mixed-use developments, master planned communities, multifamily residential, condominiums (including residential, commercial, new and conversions), single family neighborhoods, commercial offices, healthcare facilities and medical offices, and hotel and resort properties (including golf course, marina and beach club amenities).
Mike leads clients through all phases of real estate development: property acquisition and entitlement, equity and debt financing, design and construction, project management, leasing and disposition of property. He also provides guidance in real estate litigation matters and assists in formulating litigation strategies.
He has significant experience drafting and negotiating complex governance structures and easement agreements for large-scale master planned communities; urban mixed-use properties; and resorts and office and industrial parks, including drafting master association and residential level condominium documents in multiple US jurisdictions, as well as advising commercial lending clients.
