Mike Stewart concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation in the oil and gas industry. Mike has significant trial experience and has represented clients in both state and federal court. He frequently handles matters involving complex legal research, discovery disputes, and numerous pre-trial motions.
Apart from his legal training, Mike has extensive experience dealing with pressure-filled situations. Prior to law school, Mike worked in forensic sciences and assisted physicians and investigators in a number of cases, including dozens of high-profile homicides. Whether on a crime scene or in the courtroom, Mike knows details matter when the stakes are high.
Mike frequently writes on legal issues impacting the energy, construction, and technology sectors, and is a co-author of the Texas Practice Series treatise on environmental law. Mike is also active in the legal community and has helped prepare the University of Houston’s Moot Court teams.
