
Miles A. Taylor is an associate in the firm’s financial restructuring practice. Miles advises clients on a variety of matters relating to complex Chapter 11 bankruptcies and corporate reorganizations. His representations often include multijurisdictional and cross-practice matters, including corporate and environmental issues.
Miles received his J.D. in 2018 from Howard University School of Law. Prior to joining Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Miles served as a legal intern to the Honorable Lori S. Simpson in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, and as an honors scholar within the trading and markets division at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Office of Market Supervision.
During law school, Miles served as a research assistant to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and earned the CALI award in Commercial Law and Creditor & Debtor Rights. Miles was a member of Akin Gump’s 2017 summer associate class and a recipient of the Robert Strauss/Akin Gump Diversity Scholarship Award.
