Mina Grace joined the firm in 2014 and is one of our litigation attorneys at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida office of Steinger, Iscoe & Greene.
Canadian by birth, Mina moved to the United States and grew up mostly in Michigan. He fell in love with the courtroom the first time he ever stepped into one, while interning for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office in Detroit.
In 2008, he graduated from Wayne State University Law School. In addition to his passion for the law and justice, he carries with him a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University, which gives him a unique perspective into the injuries and medical conditions his clients often face.
Initially, after law school Mina began to practice in the area of insurance defense—helping big insurance companies win their cases. Although this work gave him valuable experience, he found it unfulfilling.
Insurance companies tend to look at the injured as business decisions, numbers on a spreadsheet, rather than victims of negligence and injustice. So, Mina decided he would rather seek fair compensation for his clients, rather than pad the pockets of already wealthy insurance companies.
Such experience proves invaluable for his clients as he can often predict exactly how an insurer will respond or defend a claim. His background with the biomedical sciences also helps him understand what many of his clients are going through – their frailty, their injuries and the often complicated procedures they are forced to endure through no fault of their own.
When his clients struggle to describe how their injuries have affected their lives, or the pain they live with on a daily basis, they find that he understands and can put their struggles into words that resonate in the courtroom. Mina focuses his attention solely on helping his clients get the compensation they deserve and need to move forward with their lives.
Mina is a talented and compassionate attorney. He is deeply in love with his wife, Yasmin and their two beautiful kids, Christian and Lily. Outside of the office he is an active member of his Coptic community, an avid golfer, and takes every opportunity to enjoy all that South Florida has to offer.
