Mohamed K. Miled is a senior technical specialist with Foley & Lardner LLP. He assists attorneys in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of areas, including software; electric and autonomous vehicles, battery systems for electric and hybrid vehicles, signal, speech, and image processing; medical imaging; antenna systems, telecommunications; including broadcasting, multicasting, streaming, HTTP streaming and adaptive HTTP streaming; hardware architecture, device management; data synchronization; video compression; graphics; SIP; browsing; digital rights management; Bluetooth; and UPnP. Mohamed is a member of the firm’s Electronics Practice. Mohamed is also a member of the automotive industry team.
Mohamed’s experience includes working with foreign associates in Europe, China, India, South Korea, Japan, Canada, Mexico and other countries/regions. Prior to joining Foley, he was a technical specialist with Hamilton, Brook, Smith, & Reynolds, P.C. and a patent specialist with Nokia Legal and Intellectual Property. He also worked as a research engineer for Nokia Research Center.
Mohamed earned both a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey (M.S., 1999; B.S., 1997), where he was also a research and teaching assistant. He attended Northeastern University in the doctorate program for electrical engineering from 2000 to 2004. Currently Mohamed is attending Suffolk Law School for a J.D. degree and is expected to graduate in May 2019.
