Monique Antonia Miles

Monique A. Miles is the Managing Shareholder of Old Towne Associates, P.C., where she focuses her practice primarily in the areas of employment, labor, non-profit law, and general civil litigation.

Ms. Miles represents both individuals and select small businesses in a wide variety of claims, including breach of contract, wage and hour violations, sexual harassment,  discrimination,  retaliation, breach of contract, wrongful termination, defamation, fraud, negligence and other torts.

She also drafts and reviews employment agreements, negotiates severance agreements, and assists employers and former employees in dealing with the enforceability of restrictive covenants.

Prior to opening her firm in June 2013, Ms. Miles worked as an associate at Charlson Bredehoft Cohen Brown & Sakata, P.C, where she handled a variety of complex employment and labor law matters involving business tort and contract claims, employment discrimination and retaliation claims, False Claims Act and Family Medical Leave Act claims.

Ms. Miles also previously worked for a non-profit law firm that focused on immigration-related matters involving employment discrimination and retaliation, tax-exempt organizations, voter fraud, and Administrative Procedure Act litigation.

Ms. Miles takes a unique client-centered and open communication approach in handling cases. Before taking on a new case she evaluates the facts and legal issues with an eye towards potential risks for the client, explores alternative legal theories, and assesses the merits of the case.
