Mr. Welch was a member of the House of Delegates of the Eighth Circuit, Arkansas in 1994-1996. He is also an active member of the American Bar Associations; and was president of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association in 1991. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and a member of the bench at American Inns of Court Foundation.
In1990, he received the Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. In 1997, he was the recipient of the Roxanne Wilson Trial Advocacy Award. He was nominated as one of the “Best Lawyers in Arkansas,” by Arkansas Times, in 1998-2007. He was selected to the “Mid-South Super Lawyers” 2007 list and to “Best Lawyers in America” in 2005-2008.
