Nathaniel Scharn is an associate in the San Diego office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he represents medical device, pharmaceutical, and technology companies in intellectual property litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Nathan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Janis L. Sammartino of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Judge Sammartino is a member of the district court’s Patent Pilot Program.
During law school, Nathan worked as an extern for both the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Larry A. Burns of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
He also served as a law clerk in the Major Frauds Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Before attending law school, Nathan worked as a journalist at a daily newspaper.
