Nicholas A. Cerulli focuses his practice on client counseling, including portfolio management, patent prosecution, and opinion work. Nick is also involved with district court litigation. Nick counsels clients on various types of patent matters, including portfolio development and strategic prosecution. As part of this practice, he has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications involving a wide range of mechanical and electrical technologies.
In particular, Nick has been involved with patent applications related to vehicular technologies, power generation, hydraulic systems, industrial manufacturing, medical devices, consumer products, textiles, food packaging and processing, wireless communications, and computer software.
Nick also provides opinions of counsel on claim construction, infringement, and validity. Nick’s litigation experience before the U.S. district courts includes developing and implementing discovery strategies, assisting in responding to discovery requests, assisting in preparation of validity and infringement contentions, and conducting research for briefs and motions.
