
Nicholas J. Gregory is a member of the firm’s litigation practice. Mr. Gregory focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of consumer class action defense, UCL/false advertising cases, insurance litigation, board governance and merger disputes, and internal and government investigations. He also advises startups and other companies on regulatory issues, with a particular focus on the intersection of insurance and technology. Mr. Gregory’s article “Future of Insurtech: Opportunities and Challenges” was recognized as among the most popular in 2017 on the subject of insurance in JD Supra Readers’ Choice Awards.
Mr. Gregory has handled matters in state and federal courts across the country, and has extensive courtroom and trial experience, including first-chairing numerous jury trials to verdict.Mr. Gregory received both his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Iowa, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as a student writer for the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems.
Mr. Gregory is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers of Northern California, and the Insurance and Litigation Committees of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
