
Nicholas G. Hill specializes in representing large businesses and financial institutions in policyholder insurance disputes and other complex commercial disputes. As a senior associate in the firm’s Trial and Global Disputes and Insurance Coverage and Recovery practices, he has recovered more than $100 million dollars for corporate policyholders from domestic and international insurers. He has also successfully defended corporations against numerous class action lawsuits.
In addition to helping clients secure payment for their insurance claims, Nicholas regularly advises companies on risk management needs arising out of policy renewals and M&A transactions, including negotiating best-in-class terms and conditions for all lines of commercial insurance with U.S. and international insurers.
Nicholas has also developed winning case strategy in defending corporations against class action litigation around the country. He has further represented clients in a wide variety of other complex litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and fraudulent conveyance disputes. Nicholas has also worked with King & Spalding’s award-winning Data Security and Privacy practice to advise clients following significant data privacy incidents. His representative clients include financial institutions and large retailers.
Nicholas earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina, where he graduated with high honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif. In law school, he won an award for outstanding oral advocacy and served as a staff member on the North Carolina Law Review. He received his B.A. in Journalism with a concentration in Advertising from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Nicholas is a Program Coordinator at the firm for the Street Law program, an initiative jointly sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company and Emory Law School. He also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.
