Nicholas Lawson is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the technology transactions practice. He represents companies in strategic commercial contracts—including licensing, services, development, software, and white label agreements—and intellectual property issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, divestures, and financings.
Prior to joining the firm, Nick was an associate in the intellectual property group and communications and technology group of Arent Fox in Washington, D.C., where he worked with companies in a variety of fields, including software, media, healthcare, pharmaceutical, finance, higher education, fashion, consumer goods, and technology.
Previously, he served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Rudolph Contreras of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and also to the Honorable Mary M. Lisi of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Nick also serves as an adjunct faculty at George Mason University School of Law, teaching transactional drafting.
During law school, Nick served as a first-year legal writing instructor and managed a project with the Institute of International Banking Law and Practice to standardize and harmonize letter of credit law and practice.
