Nicholas J. Nieto’s practice is primarily focused on construction and real estate law. He has assisted owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in a variety of construction-related transactions and disputes both in and out of the courtroom.
Nick’s experience is not limited to litigation, having reviewed and negotiated construction contracts on private and public projects, and assisted clients with transactions in the commercial real estate context.
His practice is also focused on government contracting and public procurement, with experience advising clients on various regulatory issues and pursuing bid protests on the agency level, to the Government Accountability Office, and to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
Additionally, Nick assists consumer financial institutions with regulatory compliance (on local, state, and federal level) and issues relating to U.C.C. Article 9.
Prior to joining the firm, Nick was a litigation associate in the Houston, Texas office of a well-established law firm in its construction, surety, litigation, and real estate practice sections.
While attending South Texas College of Law, Nick competed on its nationally recognized Moot Court Team and was the recipient of the Best Brief award at the William B. Spong Memorial Moot Court Competition hosted by William & Mary Law School.
