Mr. Nick C. Geannacopulos has been a partner with Seyfarth Shaw since 1992. He has served in a variety of management positions including being the Managing Partner of the firm’s San Francisco office for over ten years. He represents management in the area of labor and employment law.
His practice has a particular emphasis in the areas of traditional labor law and employment litigation, including discrimination under Title VII, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and general employment litigation. His traditional labor relations experience includes extensive NLRB case handling experience, collective bargaining, NLRB trial experience, and over 30 years of litigating arbitration cases.
Mr. Geannacopulos’ clients include nationally recognized companies such as Chubb Insurance Company, Service Corp. International, Eagle Materials, Somers Building Maintenance, Dell Electronics, WinCo Foods, Ferrari of North America, Maxim Crane Works, and the San Francisco Opera. He has also represented Chanel, Inc., in virtually every type of employment case, including labor and consumer like class actions, for approximately 20 years.
Mr. Geannacopulos has represented employers throughout the United States in collective bargaining negotiations across a variety of industries including, automobile and transportation, agricultural related manufacturing, service industries, aerospace, mining and energy, retail, food industry, hospitality industry, and the performing arts.
In an independent survey of Fortune 1000 companies conducted by BTI Consulting Services, Mr. Geannacopulos has been recognized as one of the top 43 attorneys in the country for client service and reliability, as well as one of the top 28 labor and employment attorneys in the country for client service and reliability. He has tried, arbitrated, and mediated just about every type of employment related case.
