Nicolas Camargo, a recognized trial attorney, handles both litigation matters and general probate and corporate matters, including the following Probate Litigation, Estate Planning, Probate Administration, Elder Law, General & Commercial Litigation, General Business & Corporate Governance.

As a former prosecuting attorney, Nicolas Camargo has established himself as an accomplished litigator with over fourteen years of courtroom experience. While at the Prosecutor’s Office, he gained recognition for his courtroom advocacy as he tried hundreds of cases in a broad range of matters, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies and from violent to white collar crimes.

He also worked in conjunction with several state agencies, such as the Michigan Department of Human Services and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, to protect and prosecute their interests.

Nicolas’s extensive courtroom experience has translated to the civil world, where his comfort and experience in a courtroom, and before both judges and juries, provides him an invaluable asset when litigating claims on behalf of his clients. He has litigated a wide range of matters, from will contests and trust disputes, to construction law claims and business shareholder and partner disputes.

Nicolas’s true passion is in probate litigation, where he has become recognized as a zealous advocate for his clients, which have ranged from individuals to national nonprofit organizations. Having previously prosecuted matters on behalf of vulnerable victims, including the elderly and young children, he is especially adept at protecting the rights of individuals similarly situated.

Nicolas also focuses a significant portion of his practice on general probate matters, including elder law, estate planning, and probate administration. He also handles a variety of general corporate transactional matters, having represented mid-sized family-owned companies in the areas of business formation, succession planning, review of human resources documents, review of company employee manuals, representation in mergers and acquisitions, stock sale purchases, and asset sale purchases.

Nicolas is actively involved in his community, engaging in numerous volunteer projects. He also serves as president of his neighborhood Council of Homeowners, and previously presided as a magistrate in the 52-3 District Court. Nicolas attended Michigan State University for his legal education and earned his undergraduate degree at Marquette University.
